![]() About A&GAkehurst and Giltrap Reforestation was formed in March 1997 following the dissolution of Oliver and Giltrap Reforestation. Chris Akehurst and Graeme Giltrap are the principals of the company. Both have been in the reforestation business since 1975 and bring their considerable experience to this company. Graeme Giltrap was a founding partner of Oliver and Giltrap Reforestation in 1975. Since then he has managed projects all over the province, personally supervising the planting of over 50 million seedlings without ever having had a 'no payment' block or a contract terminated. He has never undertaken to do a contract and not fulfilled that obligation. He has in the last few years concentrated his work in the Kamloops, Kootenay and Boundary regions. Graeme has always believed in the professional development of the silviculture industry, and he was a founding member and director of the Western Silvicultural Contractors Association (WSCA). Chris Akehust began working in this industry as a planter, graduated to a supervisory role in a couple of years and in 1985 became a partner in Oliver and Giltrap Reforestation. Chris has managed projects all over the southern regions of the province, but lately has concentrated in the Kamloops region. He has personally supervised the planting of over 30 million seedlings without ever having a contract terminated or a 'no payment' block. Chris has been a Director of the WSCA for the last 21 years including 4 as treasurer and 4 as President. He is now the Chair of the WSCA Safety Advisory Committee. Akehurst and Giltrap Reforestation has built on the reputation of reliability, honesty and professionalism that Chris and Graeme brought to the company.
